The Cath Lab team is very cohesive and collaborative with our approach to the care of our patients and families.
- Holding Area is fast paced completing pre and post care for cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology cases. Also, assist in performing TEEs, Cardioversions, TILT tests and Dobutamine Stress tests. Intra-procedure nurses require special training and take call to respond to our STEMI patients during off hours
>90% of staff have achieved their cardiovascular specialty certification.
If you like cardiac patients and the cardiac anatomy, the Cath Lab is the career for you. You will have the opportunity to scrub, monitor and circulate cases. You work closely with the interventional cardiologists and learn something new every day.
Our average door to balloon time for STEMIs is between 50-60 minutes compared to the national average of less than 90 minutes.
Many of our nurses have their CCRN and/or RCIS certification
Education: BSN Degree required. Licensures & Certifications: A current PA RN license. Current ACLS/CPR is required on hire Certification in specialty area desired. Experience: 2-5 years in ICU/SDU preferred
