As the Manager, Foundation Accounting, you will report to the VP, Finance while responsible for the oversite of the Foundation Accountants and the professional, efficient and effective management of five (5) Foundations and related Accounting
Oversees the preparation, analysis and accuracy of financial statement data on a timely basis for internal financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles applied consistently across the 5 Foundations.
Prepares monthly Foundation(five) financial statements reporting package for internal distribution and periodic distribution to their respective Foundation Board and their committees
Coordinate and oversee financial reporting package, internal control, audit, policies and procedures of each of the supporting auxiliaries of the Hospital,
Coordinates year end audit with external auditors for each of the Foundations and the Auxiliaries. Prepares information for the Main Line Health Audit and resolves any issues.
Ensures the timely and accurate external reporting to the Internal Revenue Service (Form 990 and 5500), PA Department of Revenue (BCO-10) and other government regulatory units. Organize and coordinate the filing of the Foundations’ tax returns (990)
Prepares financial Board materials and works with Finance Directors to ensure information is presented to the various Boards in a consistent manner.
Oversees preparation of annual operating, capital, development and endowment budgets.
Coordinates activities with the Development Office and develops streamlined processes to facilitate the accurate accounting and reporting of gifts. Participates in educational sessions on new accounting standards and reporting.
Uphold a cohesive, team-oriented atmosphere throughout the Foundation accounting Department and provide support to the Main Line Health’s Financial reporting, Accounts Payable, Development and Budget Departments
Regularly meets with senior management of each of the hospitals explaining the flow of funds from the Foundation to the Hospital.
Prepare financial statements for the Main Line Health Medical Staff Dues and reviews with Senior Medical Management
Education/Licenses:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution is required. MBA preferred
CPA a plus.Experience:A minimum of five years’ experience supervising the Accounting function. Recent supervisory experience is required.
Requires strong technical skills in all aspects of healthcare financial management, particularly accounting, internal control, investments, taxes, pension, cash management, development, insurance and legal matters.
Ability to analyze financial data in order to assess financial integrity of the entities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as position requires interaction with internal senior management, external professional and accounting staff.
