Main Line Health’s Women’s Specialty Center in King of Prussia will focus on the distinct preventive, diagnostic and treatment needs of women. The center, in collaboration with Axia Women’s Health, will address women’s physical, emotional and wellness needs in a seamless, coordinated manner embedded within a warm, healing environment.
Health Education - Part Time, 20 hrs/week
The Health Educator participates in the formal teaching of the various educational classes offered throughout MLH. This position may conduct community based health educational presentations, programs, and health screenings in the following areas, but not limited to: Childbirth Education, General Health Education Programs, Injury Prevention (LMC), Cardiac Risk Assessments, Stroke Screenings, Blood Pressure Screenings, As a Nurse Programs, CPR, Safety, Breast Health, In-patient Smoking Counseling, and other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Education, or Nursing with a concentration in community health education is required. Licensures & Certifications: Current PA Nursing License or other professional license as appropriate Childbirth Educator Certification is required for the Childbirth Health Educator position. Valid Drivers License
Experience: A minimum of two years experience in providing community health education. A minimum of three years of clinical experience in OB is preferred for the Childbirth Health Educator position.
