As a Program Manager in IT, you will oversee, coordinate, and execute IT programs as assigned which align with IT and organizational strategic objectives. You will keep projects moving by focusing on coordination of key milestones across projects. You will be responsible for Technical / Operational aspects by proactively identifying, prioritizing mitigating, resolving, and/or escalating issues that could impact project schedule, budget or outcomes. Responsibilities will also include meeting strategic & financial objectives by maintaining overall knowledge of the business plans of the MLH enterprise and assigned business units. As a Program Manager – Information Systems, you will prepares and maintains project budgets reporting planned versus actual monthly. Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; managing to the approved budget; tracking and approving invoices and professional services hours; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and initiating Change Requests as appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Work with the BioMed Department to plan the BioMed capital approval process, including creating a process to present BioMed requests to our leadership group.
2. Work with BioMed on the execution of the approved capital - tracking to the fiscal year’s plan.
3. Provide a focal point for BioMed acquisitions outside of either the BioMed capital process (which focuses on end-of-life) and construction and facilities.
4. Be a touchpoint for the Department of Health (DOH) approval process - goal would be to get ahead of the equipment delivery on site.

Position: Program Manager - Biomedical Engineer
Shift: 40hr/wk
Experience:
1. At least 10 years of demonstrated project management experience working with large, IT focused projects. At least 3 years of health care related experience required.
2. Experience working with external software vendors, resource management and balancing of workloads.
3. Experience in managing “upward” among senior leadership.
4. Demonstrated expertise in specific focus area(s) of Healthcare Information Technology.
5. Excellent relationship, interpersonal, influencing, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
6. Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, project management, problem solving skills.
7. Strong customer service orientation.
8. Experience in building and leading teams towards the accomplishment of business goals and objectives.
9. Self-motivated possessing a sense of urgency and a bias to action.
10. Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and possesses high tolerance for risk.
11. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Enterprise Project Management Software.
12. Large scale healthcare systems program planning and implementation experience, strongly preferred, particularly with products on MLH project scope.
13. Strong network outside of MLH to understand relevant best practices and talent pools.
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, technology, clinical or related discipline strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Current PMP certification or Masters in Project Management; Required.
2. Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
