Position: Patient Service Representative, PSR – Full Time

We have a new position for a Patient Service Representative / PSR for Lankenau Medical Associates, located in Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnewood PA

Our board-certified providers pride themselves in giving compassionate and thorough care to all of their patients and in going the extra mile to accommodate patients' individual needs. Our family and internal medicine providers see patients aged 18 and up

The Patient Service Representative will be working Full Time, 40 hour/week position Monday- Friday.  No weekend or holiday requirements, Possible evening rotation

Patient Service Representative/ PSR Position and job functions:

·         Receiving the patient and registering their medical complaint in the log book

·         Greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors

·         Serves as a liaison between patient and support staff

·         Educating the patient as to office billing policies, insurable and non- insurable charges

·         Registering the patient in an expedient, accurate manner

·         Verifying all information and existing charts with patients

·         Explaining the charges to the patient and, when requested, providing the patient with a statement

·         Collecting the money for the patient's visit, diagnostic studies and supplies

·         Office duties based on knowledge of Main Line Health departmental policies

Education/ Experience:

·         High School Diploma required

·         Two to three years of office experience required

·         Knowledge of insurance payers and medical terminology preferred

·         Must be experienced in Microsoft Word (columns, tables, envelopes, mail merge, labels), Excel (data base maintenance) and Outlook (maintaining calendars of several staff members)
