Position: Nurse Residency Program - Winter Cohort (March 2023) with start dates between October 2022 - March 2023.
Eligibility: All applicants must be a 2022 graduate of a Diploma, ASN or BSN program.

The Home Health Nurse has the responsibility, accountability, and authority for providing coordinated, comprehensive nursing care to patients in the home setting. Use your critical thinking, analysis, and clinical judgment skills in all aspects of care delivery for patients and caregivers facing acute, chronic, and life limiting illness. Youβll address the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families to improve function, independence, and quality of life.

Departments: By applying to this position, you are being considered for either Home Health or Hospice Nursing.
Shift/ Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5PM
Weekend: Weekend Rotation - every 4th Saturday & Sunday.

The Nurse Residency Program is a year-long program designed to ease the transition to practice for the new graduate nurse in their first professional role. Emphasis is given to nursing leadership behaviors, nurse driven outcomes and professional development. The curriculum is designed to enhance the graduatesβ critical thinking skills and their ability to use outcome data to promote patient safety.
Through the residency program, new graduates can transition to their profession and gain valuable full-time experiences in most clinical specialties. These evening and night-shift positions offer a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay and shift differential. Main Line Health offers all new graduates a precepted orientation which is based on the clinical specialty and the individual learning needs of the new graduate. On-going supervised training and educational opportunities are provided to the staff during this transition and after orientation.
Qualifications

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited RN or BSN program within the last 12 months or an upcoming graduate of an accredited RN/ BSN program within the next six months.

RN (ASN) graduates must be actively enrolled in a BSN program within 6 months of their start date and obtain a BSN within 2 years of their start date.

Obtained a preferred 3.0 cumulative GPA.
*Applicants who have graduated within the last 12 months from their nursing program and have less than one year nursing experience in a non-acute or acute care setting are welcome to apply.

Recommendation letters must be from a clinical instructor

Recommendation letters submitted on a standard form from your school or a letterhead will be accepted. Main Line Health does not have a specific form for your instructors to use.

Delay in submission will not affect your application process. A LOR is required in order to receive an official offer of employment from Main Line Health.
