We have a new
position for a Nurse Practitioner to join our
expanding Neuroscience Services Dept at Paoli Hospital.
**This position is
focused on our Headache Program.
As part of the
Neurology team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing care
to patients throughout the hospital, consulting on patients in our Emergency
department and being part of a team that initiates stroke treatment within the
first critical minutes.
Our hospital is
designated by the Joint Commission as a Certified Primary Stroke center. We are
providing the most advanced evidence base treatments for stroke and
neurovascular diseases and you will be part of the development of a
neuro-interventional program.
This is a Fulltime,
Days shift, 40 hour/week. Monday – Friday. No weekend requirements
Responsibilities to
include:
The role of the CRNP is
central to the unit based multidisciplinary team in leading quality and
evidence based care initiatives that will result in achieving optimal patient
outcomes and improved patient satisfaction. The CRNP extends and expands the
role of the physicians, enhances continuity of quality patient care and amplifies
communication among all professional care givers, the patient and his/her
family members.
Experience
· 2
years of neuroscience, neurosurgery or critical care experience preferred
· A
minimum of two years nursing experience in specific clinical area
· Must
have strong written and verbal skills of the English language
Education/Licenses/Certifications/experience:
· Completion
of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
· Licensed
by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
· BLS
certification / ACLS certification
· Certified
Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Pennsylvania
· Successful
completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office,
with temporary or permanent privileges approved
· Current
DEA
