We have a new position for a Medical Assistant (MA) with Main Line HealthCare’s Family Medicine Practice in Paoli Hospital, Paoli PA.

Our physicians provide personalized and compassionate care for all members of the family, newborns through adults and seniors. They advocate preventive care, patient involvement in their individualized care plan, and believe a team effort between patient and doctor leads to the healthiest outcomes and wellness.

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be working Full Time, 40 hour/week position Monday- Friday Primarily Day shift with one Saturday Morning requirement every 6 weeks, and one evening rotation per week.

Medical Assistant Position and job functions:

·         Multi-skilled health professional who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patient

·         Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to, vital signs, routine blood draws, immunization, injections point of care testing, and EKG’s and provides care that is consistent with Main Line HealthCare’s policies and external regulations and requirements

·         Prepare patients for physician/practitioner exams

·         Complete the nursing portion of the patient medical records using approved documentation standards

·         Assist physicians/practitioners as requested for basic and emergency procedures

·         Maintain smooth patient flow by monitoring physician/practitioner work and anticipating their needs

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

·         Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program

·         BLS for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire or within 30 days of start date

·         Current CPR Certification

·         Medical Assistant Certification preferred, not required

Experience:

·         Proficient in medical procedures and medical terminology required

·         One year Medical Assistant experience preferred

·         Experience working in an Family Medicine/Primary Care environment preferred

·         Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applicants preferred

·         Knowledge of third party payers preferred
