We have a new position for a Medical Assistant (MA) with Main Line HealthCare’s Adult Medicine Practice at Shannondell in Audubon, PA

Our board-certified providers offer personalized compassionate care for adults age 18 through geriatrics. We provide exceptional care to our patient using the highest level of clinical standards and promote healthy lifestyles. Our services include EKGs, immunizations, routine blood and spirometry test.

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be working Full Time, 40 hour/week position Monday- Friday from 7:45am – 4:15pm.  No weekend or Holiday requirements

Medical Assistant Position and job functions:

·         Multi-skilled health professional who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patient

·         Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to, vital signs, routine blood draws, immunization, injections point of care testing, and EKG’s and provides care that is consistent with Main Line HealthCare’s policies and external regulations and requirements

·         Prepare patients for physician/practitioner exams

·         Complete the nursing portion of the patient medical records using approved documentation standards

·         Assist physicians/practitioners as requested for basic and emergency procedures

·         Maintain smooth patient flow by monitoring physician/practitioner work and anticipating their needs

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

·         Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program

·         BLS for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire or within 30 days of start date

·         Current CPR Certification

·         Medical Assistant Certification preferred, not required

Experience:

·         Proficient in medical procedures and medical terminology required

·         One year Medical Assistant experience preferred

·         Experience working in an Family Medicine/Primary Care environment preferred

·         Experience with blood draws preferred for this practice

·         Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applicants preferred

·         Knowledge of third party payers preferred
