- Make an Impact! Under minimal supervision, provide repairs, calibration, testing, and maintenance of specialty equipment to ensure safe and appropriate operations. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests and corrective maintenance performed on a wide range of medical technologies. Recognized as field modality expert and highly competent in area of specialty, spending 70% of time or more in repairing, inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment in area of specialty. Serves as a front-line responder for escalated service events and is highly specialized with training or equivalent in a specialty field, ex. radiology and sterilization equipment. Performs highly skilled work of considerable difficulty and is considered a technically proficient in specialty. Individual will maintain good personal relationships with fellow workers. Will support customer service reporting to clinical and non-clinical managers and supervisors, as well as staff and other hospital employees. Will be expected to participate in meetings, seminars, training, workshops and conferences as required. May coordinate and deliver technical in-service education sessions to users as assigned. This role will service all imaging equipment. This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Position: Biomedical Equipment Specialist- must travel to all MLH Sites
Shift: Day Shift- 6a-2:30p or 7am-3:30p, occasional weekend
Experience:
Minimum of six years’ experience required with a minimum of two years’ experience in specialty area required.
Education:
Candidates for this position require an Associate’s degree in an accredited Biomedical Applied Science or Electronic Engineering Technology program or related field or an equivalent combination of education, manufacturer certification/s, and experience required
Licensures/Certifications:
CBET- (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) and CRES- (Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist) preferred. Valid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that will require use of personal vehicle
